"I will induct you into the Qādiriyyah Tariqah."

Hazrat Maolana Abdur Ghafur Abbasi Madani’s (rahmatullahi alaihe) father was Shah Syed Abbasi. Shah Syed Abbasi was the spiritual successor of Maolana Fazle Ali Qureshi. Shah Syed Abbasi was the follower of the Naqshbandia Tariqah (a particular path in Sufism).

Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi used to recite Durood Shareef whole night. On one blessed night, Shah Syed Abbasi saw the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream.

In the dream, the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Udnuminni” (come to me). After that, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “I will induct you into the Qādiriyyah Tariqah.” At this, Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi replied: “I have become Murīd (disciple) in the Naqshbandia Tariqah.” The Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) replied: “I will induct you into the Ahle Bayt Silsilah.” Afterwards, Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi made wuzu and was inducted into the Qādiriyyah Silsilah (chain in Sufism) by the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam).

Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi was 42 years old when he saw this dream. He used to live in the Suat area in Pakistan.

Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi migrated to Madinah al-Munawara after this dream. He passed away at the age of seventy-three on the 1st day of Rabiul Awwal, 1389 Hijri.

He was buried in Jannatul Baki. Hazrat Shah Syed Abbasi was laid to rest close to the tomb of Hazrat Osman Ghani (rahmatullah alaihe).
