"Your enemy will drown in seventeen months."

Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) once migrated from Jainpur to the Azamgarh area. He subsequently cleared and settled in a place called Kolondorpur.

During this time, King Babu Azmat Khan came to hunt in the Azamgarh area. Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) also went to a hunting expedition with his disciples in the same area. He was accompanied by a superior hunting dog which belonged to his nephew. During the expedition, this particular dog caught and brought many preys alive that other dogs failed to do so. Babu Azmat Khan took a strong liking to this dog. Impressed with its hunting skills, the king asked Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) to hand over the dog to him.

Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) refused to hand over the dog to the king. He informed the king that the hunting dog belonged to his nephew and that his nephew would become displeased if the dog were handed over to the king. Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) further added that he did not wish to incur the displeasure of his nephew.

Babu Azmat Khan became infuriated because of the refusal. The king sought to oppress Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) in various ways. Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) decided to leave the hunting expedition for Kolondorpur to escape the oppression of the king. During his departure, however, he made the following remarks: “I will come back after this oppressor drowns.”

After several days, Hazrat Shah Fateh Kolondor Jainpuri (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Your enemy will drown in seventeen months.”

The dream prophecy became true after seventeen months. On the seventeenth month, Himmat Khan Bahadur of Allahabad came to conquer Kolondorpur from Babu Azmat Khan. Unable to confront Himmat Khan Bahadur militarily, Babu Azmat Khan decided to retreat and flee aboard a boat. Half way through his escape, the boat capsized and Babu Azmat Khan was drowned.

This particular event demonstrates that those who come to confront the Walis or friends of Allah always have dreadful endings.

Hazrat Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe)

Hazrat Haji Imdad Ullah Muhajir Makki (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates that his spiritual mentor Hazrat Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe) used to live in Jalalabad.

Hazrat Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe) had the distinction of being a “Shaheb e Hujuri”. In other words, Hazrat Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in dreams every night.

Some fortunate individuals also had the rare distinction to see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in the waking world.

The number of individuals who have seen the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in dreams far outnumber those who have seen the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in the waking world.

In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “This Fakir was the Wali of Hindustan. Why has he been buried there?”

Syed Ahmad is blessed with an auspicious vision

Tok was the name of a Muslim state in India.

Nawab Amir Khan was the ruler of this particular state in India. He subsequently took the title of Nawab Amiruddaula Khan Bahadur. His son Nawab Ajiruddaula assumed power in 1250 Hijri. Nawab Ajiruddaula passed away in 1281 Hijri.

Nawab Ajiruddaula narrates in his book “Wasaya” that Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was staying near the blessed Rouza Mubarak when he was in Madinah al-Munawara. Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was suffering from fever when he arrived in Madinah al-Munawara.

Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) fell asleep shortly after he reached Madinah al-Munawara. Upon awakening, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) sat in front of the window of his residence overlooking the blessed Rouza Mubarak. During this time, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) stated: “Oh Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam)! Golam Ali Elahabadi, a member of your Ummah, has sent a copy of the Qu’ran Majid so that it can be recited at the blessed Rouza Mubarak. However, I have noticed that there are many copies of the Qu’ran Majid that are not recited here. If I obtain your kind permission, then I will leave this particular copy of the Qu’ran Majid with the attendant so that it can be recited on a regular basis.”

The Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) gave Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) permission to leave the copy of the Qu’ran at the blessed Rouza Mubarak.

It should be noted that Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was born on 1st Maharram, 1201 Hijri. In the Gregorian calendar, it was the 26th day of October, 1786. Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was born in the Sadat family at Takia in Raibeleli.

Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was the first person to unite the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. For this, he even sacrificed his own life. He was the first person to express the idea of an independent nationhood of the Muslims in India.

At the age of twenty-two, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) became the disciple of Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddese Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe). Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was thinking of launching resistance movement against the Sikhs because of their persecution of the Muslims. However, he could not start the movement because of physical weakness. Because of this, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) gave Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddese Dehlavi (rahmatullahi alaihe) a black turban and a white miniature Kaba as inspiration to initiate the movement.

Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) was involved in Jihad for the Muslims for six years. He became very successful in his movement. Subsequently, however, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) became the target of the conspiracy of the Sikhs and the English rulers.

In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) placed his blessed toupee upon the head of Hazrat Shah Ashiqullah Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe). The Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) then stated: “I have delivered you from the dangers of both this world and of the hereafter.” Afterwards, the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) named Hazrat Shah Ashiqullah Kolondor (rahmatullahi alaihe) Monem Shah.

"Today is the Lailatul Qadr"

Afterwards, Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) went to his residence.

Soon afterwards, he fell asleep. It was the 27th of Ramadan, 1222 Hijri. In the Gregorian calendar, it was the 28th day of November, 1807. Hazrat Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) remained asleep throughout a portion of the night. After some time, he was suddenly awakened from his sleep by someone. Upon awakening, Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) came to see that to his right was the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). To his left was Hazrat Abu Bakr (radi Allah unhu).

On His (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) blessed voice were these auspicious words: “Ahmad! Rise and take a bath. Today is the Lailatul Qadr. Immerse yourself in the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a who fulfills the needs of all. Pray to His august court.”

Afterwards, both the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) and Hazrat Abu Bakr left. During this time, Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) used to live in the Akbarabadi mosque in Delhi. Upon awakening, he proceeded to the nearby water tank without delay. The water in the tank had already turned icy because of extreme cold. Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) took a bath in the icy water. Afterwards, he immersed himself in the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a.

Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates that on this auspicious night, Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a showered His mercy upon him. Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) attained high spiritual station on this night. He attained such spiritual insight and understanding that to him the whole world appeared to be in prostration before Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a. This continued until Fajr.

In the morning, Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrated this incidence to Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe). Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe) became very pleased and went on to offer praise to Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a who had fulfilled the wish of Syed Ahmad (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Quest for Lailatul Qadr

Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) went to see Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe) on the 21st of Ramadan in 1222 Hijri.

Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) asked Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe): “When will be the Lailatul Qadr?” Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) used to pray all night. He wanted to perform special prayers for the Lailatul Qadr.

Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe) advised Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shahid (rahmatullahi alaihe) to continue the practice of staying up all night. However, Hazrat Shah Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alaihe) added that staying up all night alone will not bring spiritual benefits. A night watchman also stays all up night to perform his duties, yet he does not derive any spiritual rewards from his actions.

Therefore, obtaining spiritual rewards from Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a should be the ultimate goal for everyone. The fortunate person is even awakened from his sleep to be given spiritual rewards and barakah.

Two auspicious dreams

Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) was once blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream.

In the dream, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) lovingly placed three dates in the mouth of Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe). Thereafter, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) fed Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) with great affection and care.

Upon awakening, Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) felt the sweet taste of dates in his mouth. Shortly afterwards, the goodness of both this world and of the hereafter started to manifest in the life of Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe).

After some time, Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) saw Hazrat Ali (radi Allah unhu) and Hazrat Fatima (radi Allah unha) in a dream. In the dream, Hazrat Ali (radi Allah unhu) gave Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) a bath just as a father would give his son a bath. Afterwards, Hazrat Fatima (radi Allah unha) dressed Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe) in an attire of exquisite and unparalleled quality.

From that time onwards, the great ideals of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) started to materialize in the life of Syed Ahmed (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Dream of a Mureed

Hazrat Shah Abu Syed Mujaddedi (rahmatullahi alaihe) took over the Khankah (convent) of Hazrat Shah Golam Ali (rahmatullahi alaihe) after his demise.

Once, a quarrel arose in the Khankah. During this time, one Mureed (disciple) of the Khankah had a dream. In the dream, the Mureed saw that there was an assembly at the august court of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). The Mureed further saw that the matter of the quarrel was being placed before the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). In the dream, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) ordered certain individuals to be expelled from the Khankah.

The Mureed became frightened in case the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) mentioned his name to be expelled from the Khankah. He woke up because of this fear.

The Mureed then proceeded to bring water for Hazrat Abu Syed (rahmatullahi alaihe) to prepare for the Tahajjud salaat (late night prayer). During this time, Hazrat Abu Syed (rahmatullahi alaihe) commented: “Why are you afraid? The Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) did not mention your name.” In the morning, Hazrat Abu Syed (rahmatullahi alaihe) expelled those individuals from the Khankah whose names were mentioned by the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in the dream.

Dream of Ibn Sabuni

Abu Muhammad Al Arjaq Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates that he once accompanied his mother and niece to Egypt where his brother Abu Yakub used to live.

On his way to Egypt, Abu Muhammad Ambari’s (rahmatullahi alaihe) caravan was robbed. The robbers took everything. Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) and his fellow travelers faced extreme hardship because of the robbery. In particular, the travelers suffered from hunger and thirst. During this time, Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) met a camel rider. The camel rider agreed to take Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) and fellow travelers to Damascus in exchange of some money.

Once in Damascus, Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) found that one individual was repeatedly calling his name. The individual paid the camel rider his fare once Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) introduced himself to the individual. The individual took Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe), his mother and niece to his residence and treated them well.

Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) stayed at the residence of the individual for three days. Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) thought that the individual must be a friend of his brother Abu Yakub and that his brother must have written to his friend to receive him in Damascus. However, during his departure from Damascus, Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) came to know that the individual did not know his brother at all.

The individual stated that he was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Oh Ibn Sabuni! Look for Abu Muhammad Ebnul Ambari. Treat him well. Help him to reach his destination.” Upon awakening, Ibn Sabuni looked for Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) was surprised to hear the dream account. He (rahmatullahi alaihe) started on his way to Egypt after receiving a generous pocket allowance from Ibn Sabuni for his journey.

Once in Egypt, Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrated this incident to his brother. On his return from Egypt to Damascus, Abu Muhammad Ambari (rahmatullahi alaihe) found Ibn Sabuni in extreme poverty.

Because of this, Abu Muhammad Ambari’s (rahmatullahi alaihe) brother Abu Yakub donated his valuable property in Egypt to Ibn Sabuni.

"May your seven children rule as kings after you."

Amir Ismai’l Ibn Ahmad Samani was the king of Khorasan. His elder brother Amir Ishak was part of the royal court.

One day, Shaykhul Islam Muhammad Ibn Nasr Maruzi (rahmatullahi alaihe) of Bukhara came to Amir Ismai’l because of some need. In order to show proper respect to Muhammad Ibn Nasr Maruzi (rahmatullahi alaihe), the Amir walked seven steps to receive Muhammad Ibn Nasr Maruzi (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Amir Ishak did not like the respect showed by his brother to Muhammad Ibn Nasr Maruzi (rahmatullahi alaihe). Amir Ishak told his brother that to show such respect was below the dignity of a king. Amir Ishak further added that everyone had a limit to get respect from the king.

In response, Amir Ismai’l stated: “I showed respect to Shaykhul Islam because of his Ilm (knowledge), for Ilm is the highest achievement and the greatest of all stations.”

On the same night, Amir Ismai’l was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream.

In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “You have honoured an Alim from my Ummah. I pray to Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a for the permanence of your name and your family in this world. May your seven children rule as kings after you. May your brother’s family end and may none of his children rule as kings.”

The healing dream of a Muhaddese

It is stated in Hadith that whoever applies hijaamah (cupping) on Wednesday or on Saturday will be responsible for his conditions if he develops leucoderma.

One Muhaddese considered this Hadith as weak and went on to apply hijaamah on Saturday. He was afflicted with leucoderma immediately. Because of this, the Muhaddese became extremely worried and embarrassed.

On one auspicious night, the Muhaddese was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Muhaddese narrated his conditions. At this, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) asked: “Why did not you follow the Hadith?” The Muhaddese replied: “The narrator of this Hadith was weak.” The Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) then asked: “But the question is did he not narrate the Hadith on my behalf?” At this, the Muhaddese replied: “I am very much ashamed and repentant for this. I ask for forgiveness.”

In the dream, the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) prayed for the recovery of the Muhaddese. Upon awakening, the Muhaddese found that he was completely cured.

This incident proves beyond doubt that a matter will be endowed with barakah only if the blessed name of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) is associated with it.

Dream of a woman

The Kurd tribe lives in Kurdistan in Iraq. A particular individual from this tribe was a bandit.

This individual narrates that once he and his fellow bandits were on their way to commit robbery. At one place, the individual saw three date trees. Of these, two trees were rich with dates and the third one was barren and devoid of dates. The individual noticed that one bird repeatedly came to one date tree, took a fresh date in its beak each time, and then returned to the barren tree. Upon closer inspection, the individual saw that a blind snake, with its mouth wide open, was perched atop the barren tree while the bird was dropping the dates in the snake’s mouth.

The individual started to cry at this amazing scene. He said to himself: “This is the poisonous snake which Your Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has commanded to kill. When the snake became blind, You appointed a bird to provide sustenance to the snake. I am Your servant-- a servant who believes in Tawhid (Oneness of Allah). You have appointed me to rob people of their possessions.” The individual then realized that the door to sincere repentance was still open.

Without delay, the individual broke his sword which was used to rob innocent people of their valuable possessions. The individual threw soil on his head and cried out in a loud voice: “Oh Allah! Forgive me. Oh Allah! Forgive me.” At that moment, the individual heard a voice from the unseen. The voice stated: “I have forgiven. I have forgiven.”

Fellow bandits asked the individual: “What has become of you? What has happened to you?” The individual explained everything to the group. All bandits repented and broke their swords. The group abandoned their ill-gotten possessions and embarked, clad in ihram, on a journey to Makkah al-Mukarramah.

After three days, the group reached a village. There, group members met an old and blind woman. The woman asked the group: “Do you have amongst you an individual from the Kurdish tribe by this particular name?” The group answered in the affirmative. At this, the woman brought some clothes and stated: “It has been three days since my son passed away. He left behind these clothes. I have been blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in dreams for three consecutive days. He (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) has instructed me to give these clothes to this particular individual from the Kurdish tribe.”

The individual accepted the clothes. Group members then adorned themselves with the clothes.

Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Yusuf (rahmatullahi alaihe) was blind from birth. However, Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Yusuf (rahmatullahi alaihe) was gifted with an extraordinary memory. He could memorize any thing that he heard only once. He memorized a book a called “Hidayah” after listening to it only once.

During the reign of Malik Mujahid, there was great unrest in the Arabian Peninsula. The ‘Ālims (scholars) of Boni Ziad possessed many valuable books. They became concerned as they could not place the books in a safe place. Incidentally, Shaykh Talha Ibn Isa became a guest of the ‘Ālims during this time. Shaykh Talha Ibn Isa also became concerned about the books.

At night, Shaykh Talha Ibn Isa was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, Rahmatallil Alameen (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Tell the ‘Ālims of Boni Ziad to take the books to the grave of Abu Abdullah Jarir. No harm will come to the books.”

Upon awakening, Shaykh Talha Ibn Isa informed the ‘Ālims about the dream. The books were taken and placed at the designated place as per instructions from the dream.

The books remained unharmed and intact at the designated place for one year.

Abu Abdullah Jarir passed away in 600 Hijri.

Those who are immersed in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) will be successful because of its barakah. I have been busy all my life only with Arabic grammar. I do not know what will happen to me on the day of Qiyamah.”

Others also witnessed the demarcation on the land. The living quarters for the Sufis were built according to this demarcation.

There are about four hundred tombs of pious Muslims close to the living quarters built at the foot of a mountain. For this reason, the Sufis often call Nasa “The Little Syria”. In other words, Nasa contains the mazars of Aulia just as Syria contains the mazars of the Prophets.

Bread from the dream

Shaikh Abul Khair Tasniatul Akhtar was afflicted with a serious ailment in one of his legs. Physicians of the time wanted to amputate his leg. However, Abul Khair did not agree to the amputation. His disciples suggested that the amputation could take place when the Shaikh stood for salaat since he became totally oblivious to the outside world during his salaat. In the end, the amputation was carried out while the Shaikh was in salaat. After the completion of salaat, the Shaikh discovered that his leg was amputated. Upon realization, the Shaikh asked: “What happened to my leg?”

“Tasniat” is a place situated in Egypt. Shaikh Abul Khair’s tawakkul (reliance) upon Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a was almost unmatched. Even the tiger of the jungle was loyal to him. His name was Hammad. He passed away in 322 hijri.

Shaikh Abul Khair narrates that he was without food for five consecutive days. He had not eaten anything at all during those five days. On the 6th day, Shaikh Abul Khair arrived at the blessed Rouza-e-Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in Madinah al-Munawara. Shaikh Abul Khair conveyed his salaam to the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). He also conveyed his salaam to Hazrat Abu Bakr (radi Allah unhu) and to Hazrat Omar (radi Allah unhu). Afterwards, Shaikh Abul Khair stated: “Oh Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam)! Today, I am your guest.” Shaikh Abul Khair then lied down behind the Pulpit. After some time, Shaikh Abul Khair was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) arrived accompanied by the Companions. Benefits of Durood Shareef

Once during the Hajj, an individual was seen reciting Durood Shareef only instead of the usual duas for the tawaf (circumbulation of the holy Ka’ba). Others asked the individual why he was reciting Durood Shareef only instead of the duas for the tawaf.

The individual replied that he had promised that he would recite nothing with Durood Shareef. He stated that the face of his father took on the appearance of that of a donkey after death. The individual became very troubled at this sight.

During this time, the individual was blessed with the auspicious vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the individual touched the blessed shawl of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) and begged him (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) to intercede for the father. The individual asked the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) why his departed father was in such a condition. At this, the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) replied: “He was an interest-taker. And he who takes interest will be punished this way both in this world and in the hereafter. However, your father used to recite Durood Shareef 100 times before going to bed. For this reason, I have interceded for him and it has been accepted.”

Upon awakening, the individual saw that his father’s face was radiant like a full moon. When the father was buried, the individual heard from the unseen that this was a special mercy from the Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Tala'a and that the father was forgiven because of the recitation of Durood Shareef upon the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam).

"Muhammad Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihe Wa Sallam."

It is written in a book entitled “Tatarkhania” that there was once a committee in Baghdad. The committee was called “Umra Committee.”

One of the goals of this committee was to help individuals in need of money through donation from the members. A Muslim once required 5000 in local currency. The committee decided to raise money through contribution from the members. During this time, a fire worshipper came up to the Muslim in need and gave him, in total secrecy, 5000 to pay off debts and another 5000 to start a business.

In the night, the fire worshipper was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “You have removed the difficulties of a Muslim. May Allah accept your endeavour.” At this, the individual asked: “May I know your identity?” The Beloved of Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) replied: “Muhammad Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihe Wa Sallam.” At this, the individual immediately accepted Islam at the blessed hand of the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam). In the morning, the individual went to the central mosque and narrated this incident to everyone.

Tebrani (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates that the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated that it is the duty of Muslims to show camaraderie, good will, and compassion towards each other and to live life as part of a body whereas if there is pain in one part of the body, then the pain is felt throughout the body.

Tebrani (rahmatullahi alaihe) states, after this narrating this Hadith, that he was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Tebrani (rahmatullahi alaihe) asked about the authenticity of this particular Hadith. At this, the Beloved Prophet of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) gestured with his blessed hand and stated: “Correct. Correct.”
