Bread from the dream

Hazrat Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) narrates that he was once without any food for two days while in Madinah al-Munawara. In this condition, Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) presented himself at the Rouza-e-Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) and humbly stated: “Oh Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam)! I am your guest.”

Hazrat Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) fell asleep after this. He was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) gave bread to Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe). Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) ate half of the bread in the dream.

To his amazement, Hazrat Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) found the other half of the bread in his hand after he woke up from his sleep.

Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) was an inhabitant of Bagdad. He was a disciple of Abu Torab Bakhshi (rahmatullahi alaihe).

Abu Abdullah Ebnul Jala (rahmatullahi alaihe) passed away in 306 Hijri.
