A dream on the 27th of Ramadan

Hazrat Sheikh Abul Hasan Shajoli narrates that he was blessed with the vision of the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) on the eve of Lailatul Kadr (Blessed Night), the 27th of Ramadan.

In the dream, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Purify your attire from uncleanliness so that you can be always successful with the help from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.” At this, Sheikh Abul Hasan Shajoli asked: “Oh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihe wa sallam! Which attire?” The Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) answered: “Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given you five attires. The first one is the attire of the Marefat of Allah. The second one is the attire of the love for Allah. The third one is the attire of the Tauhid of Allah. The fourth one is the attire of Iman. The fifth one is the attire of Islam.”

When a person truly loves Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, every thing on earth appears negligible to him. All earthly things seem banal to the person who achieves true Marefat (recognition) of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. A person will never associate Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala with any thing when he comes to firmly believe in the Tauhid (oneness) of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. As soon as a person believes in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, he becomes free of all earthly fears and concerns. When a person fully embraces Islam, he will never disobey Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. If such a person makes unintentional mistakes, he will immediately ask for the forgiveness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Hazrat Sheikh Abul Hasan Shajoli narrates that he came to realize after the dream that the significance of a particular ayat of the Holy Qu’ran was to lead one’s life for the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
