"A different vocation awaits you"

Hazrat Kazi Hamiduddin Naguri (rahmatullahi alaihe) was a very renowned Islamic scholar. Because of his profound scholarship, he was appointed the judge of the city of Nagur. He held this position for a period of three years. His impartiality, soundness of character, and piety was unrivaled.

Because of his piety and excellence of character, Kazi Hamiduddin Naguri (rahmatullahi alaihe) was once blessed with the vision of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) in a dream. In the dream, the Beloved Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) stated: “Leave your present work and come to me. A different vocation awaits you.”

Upon awakening, Kazi Hamiduddin Naguri (rahmatullahi alaihe) was completely transformed. He immediately tendered his resignation from the position of judge. Kazi Hamiduddin Naguri (rahmatullahi alaihe) withdrew from all worldly affairs to start his journey to Madinah al Munawara.
